Finance Burden

Written by: Julio Anthony G. Ucab

Financial burden is a common struggle I experience as a student, especially when balancing school needs with my family’s situation. Expenses like transportation, food, and school requirements often make me worry more about money than my lessons. Because of this, I sometimes skip buying materials or joining activities to avoid adding to my parents’ responsibilities, which has taught me to value every peso and be more practical.

At the same time, comparing myself to financially stable classmates can make me feel left behind and affect my confidence. Despite the pressure and responsibility I carry at home, I stay motivated because I want to finish school and help my family someday. I remind myself that these struggles are part of my journey, and through perseverance, education, and faith, I can overcome them and build a better future.
